We went to Tamales for the first time last night. The owner is very involved and makes sure the customers are enjoying their experience. Martin was our waiter and he provided excellent service. A great experience all around!
1 of my favorite Mexican restaurants is in Highland Park. Duck tacos superb.
The pumpkin & shrimp tamales are FANTASTIC!! I LOVE the lunch with both and rice, beans, and a little lettuce!! Especially when I "win" a buy-one-get-one free deal!! I've had this meal twice, and will have it again soon!! Service is excellent also, and they are very patient & nice when my friend and I are trying to decide what to eat and/or drink. Thanks, Tamales!! or should I say "Gracias, Tamales!!"

Amazing food and even better atmosphere! The owner was seating people and talking to everyone, the servers were friendly and knowledgeable and the food....all I have to say is pumpkin tamale! YUM!
