Being from Texas, the food was good. It was true Mexican. The tamales were good. Pumpkin tamales are different and a little sweeter than I expected. The chips tasted a bit old and stale. It may be because we got there at 8pm and they closed at 9pm, but I don't know.
The food was great, the service was great and the margaritas were awesome!
The best not only for food but the people and the atmosphere. My now 19 year old son was weaned here and has now has worked here and Jeff the owner I can truly call a friend!! You always feel welcome when you are here. Love the Duck Tacos and the shrimp appetizer. Can't go wrong with the Skatewing Special when they have it and on the lighter side the Cucumber Hicama Salad. Grilled Scallop Salad is also a big winner.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, you feel like your in Mexico. Jeff the owner takes great pride in his restaurant and always makes a point of saying hello to everyone. I have been a regular for years. Don't miss this fantastic restaurant.
