I normally don't leave this kind of review, but I'm a small business owner and I've been on both sides of the transaction. I'm really shocked how some businesses stay in business. Long and short of it, is my wife opened an account in 2018 at Talbots and never received her cc from these people, but would go to the store and buy using her account number and pay the **** there. It took days calling and trying to use chat to finally "speak" to a representative. I was told that an item ordered on 5/17 would take 2 weeks and not to expect it until 6/4 - that is 18 days, not 2 weeks. Also, was "told" that my package was on the trailer to go to *****, but there were no drivers to pick it up. Where does that leave the consumer after spending a good sum of money with this company

I will no longer buy from Talbots after spending a month trying to receive a refund for a returned item. I bought over $700 worth of clothes over the past few months, and returned one item out of the batch. Talbots has exhibited extremely poor customer service - could not get through to customer service by phone, emails were not responded to for almost a week, incorrect amount of refund indicated in email from Talbots, and Talbots email indicating that I will be refunded for the return, but still no credit seen on my credit ... read more

This is taking place during the co vid pandemic. I am very good about paying my bills on time and normally send them out within 0-3 days after receiving them. I noticed when I looked online I have received 3 late charges. I would pay by phone or online but they do not allow it via debit card and I feel it is an evasion of my privacy to have my bank account information on file. Neg.10 star. Ordered 2 items 8/22/20. Returned items.8/23/20 Took 1 month to get refund on one pair.A random Merch Credit shows up for $7.83... 20 emails and no response later, I finally clock out of work to call. Clueless girl as if she was laughing said that they kept part because it was a refund charge to return. After I've been waiting and sending 20 plus emails for a response, I'm sent a merch credit for one item in the amount of $7.83???!!! I've been shopping with Talbots since the mid 80's and was always pleased with their quality and customer service, up until a few years ago and worse, most recently. Due to the virus and with businesses being shut down here in Massachusetts ordering at Talbots has been a complete disaster. All through this virus situation they have run sale after sale after sale online. Yet when you order they send you an email saying they don't have any expected ship dates nor are they able to confirm whether you will even get any of the it... read more

Placed an exchange order 6/3/20. Shipment email received 6/6/20. 16 DAYS IN SHIPPING & STILL NO PACKAGE. Contacted Talbots 3 times via email / contactus and NO response whatsoever regarding this package. Finally connected by chat and they were of NO help, saying "I don't know" and could not explain where the package is where it is, why it is delayed, when we will get it, and said we had to wait another 3 days - that makes 19 days!!! Unbelievable poor customer service. Would NOT recommend nor trust this company.

I was Talbot's loyal customer for years. This April amidst the Covid 19 layoffs and diminished incomes, sick relatives and other problems, Talbot's charged my account with late fee ( I was late 3 days due to lack of fund). At the first opportunity I paid the bill due which was 3 days later but late fee already was posted. I tried to call their Covid 19 related help line for three days and never had a chance to get thru.
