Talbots clothes are of very poor quality. Online orders are a mess. You order an item and the send something else. To include a size larger.
Talbots are bunch of thieves.I paid off the account, closed the account, but they keep sending a **** for interest on an account that was paid three weeks before the due date. How long are these thieves going to keep ripping off their customers. ***********************************
I have been a Talbots customer for many years and have always paid my current Talbot's charge account on time and in full no matter how large the balance. This November I mailed the payment eleven (11) days before the due date. When my December statement arrived it indicated that my payment had been posted two (2) days late and there was a Late Fee of $28 plus an Interest Charge of $7.89 added to my account!!! ordered items on Nov 19, 2 items shipped and were received and placed on my credit card.Two items in the same order were not received but placed on my monthly statement. When I called customer service the woman said well they are shipping now- well that's fine but I should not have been charged for them on my **** from last month. After over 30 years of relying on Talbots for many of my clothing needs, Talbots has started shipping my items to a nonexistent address that is in no way associated with my account. My ordered items are being returned to Talbots from my local post office because of this. I am now in a long loop of waiting for returned money. I have sent emails and chatted online with Talbots but have not received either an explanation or resolution to this problem. Dont call the Talbots *********** or Talbots online number these representatives may steal your credit card information and before you know it thousands of dollars will be charged on your personal credit card. If caught, the employee may be fired but no charges of grand theft will be initiated by Talbots itself. This representative charged almost $2,000 at Saks Fifth Avenue and Saks could care less and will just say contact your credit card company. Ordered from Talbots today and to my surprise there was an additional .79 on top of the **** shipping charge. By the way there is no tax on clothes in ******** where I live. This is an extremely high shipping charge and deceptive to the customer at best. Why is there tax on shipping? I will absolutely think twice before ordering anything from Talbots ever again.

The penalty for having a late payment is around 24%.In the last six months or so Talbots has stopped sending monthly statements through the mail.
