He is back. She is gone. – This is a good news. Taka is finally back. And the hostess is gone. No more cel phone girl in the restaurant.

Fresh & Fantastic A++ Food; Only issue was the hostess. – Lobster Salad on Flounder Sashimi, Shrimp Spring Roll with Honey Lime Mayonnaise, Tai Sashimi Salad (red snapper), Copacabana Roll (scallop and mango), Snow Crab 100 Roll --- all were top notch. Tuna Tartare was nice, but I think it was not to our taste. Nigiri - Live Scallop ($9/2pc), Blue Fin ($14/2pc). The price surprised me a little, but these were the specials and we had no complaints about the taste. Yum. All the prices seemed to be in line with a Buckhead sushi... read more

A little pricey, but very good – This place is tucked away in Buckhead and you would never find it unless you were looking for it. The sushi was great! Some of the best I have had in a long time. I was not prepared for the prices, but it was worth it. The service was fair. We had to wait a while for our check to be delivered. Other than that, it was a good dining experience. I would go again.

THE ROLLS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD! – I am a native NY'er. I do not usually eat rolls but went here when visiting a friend. Taka (named after the owner) is a culinary master. These rolls are delicious! Jamie is a terrific hostess. All the rolls can add up ($) but nothing more outrageous than NY prices. If you are are on a business expense account - you are SO LUCKY!

A REAL Sushi Place – I've visited lots of great sushi places, and I am pleased to say that one of my favorites is right here in Atlanta, only Hump in Santa Monica ties. If they have it, try the blue fin. It was wonderful. The presentation is elegant, and the rolls are beautiful. I can not believe how many places are able to hawk poor quality cuts in Atlanta, but rest assured that Taka is real and really good!

Best sushi inAtlanta – Taka must be straight from LA, because it's the best sushi place in Atlanta! I've loved everything I tried there except for the eel, but that's probably my fault rather than takas. The presentation was nice - elegant. Service was wonderful; I felt like a guest in someone's house. I'll be going back. If you come though, please leave your kids at home! They disrupt the atmosphere!

Absolutely Perfect – W O N D E R F U L fish! The toro melted in my mouth. The cuts are just perfect; there is no reason to have anything but the nigori sashimi, but my date loved the rolls. Definitely try the green tea ice cream. The place is quaint, and I thought romantic. It's quiet and enjoyable, understated in a tasteful sort of Japanese way. Definitely put this on your list when you want a place that artfully displays their wonderful creations!

about the only place in town with toro – I love this restaurant. If I'm in the mood for sushi, no place compares to Taka's. His is one of the few places I don't gag on my sushi because it's too big. Taka comes up with creative specials, although I love my usual dishes and have only tried the specials a couple of times - they were delicious! Flounder w/lobster salad appetizer is to die for. Grilled yellow-tail was so flavorful! Of course, don't forget to order the toro since he seems to be the only person in town that carries... read more

FRESHEST Sushi in Buckhead – ALthough I could have done without the parents toting their kids in, it was EXCELLENT. I recommend going later in the evening if you want to avoid the children. The chefs did an incredible job on all of the rolls. I also hear that Taka never keeps any of the fish over a day - that is why it is so FRESH!! My favorite - the salmon crunch roll! Service was great - it ws a full house, but food came promptly.
