Great food, great service. If you like Indian food and are in Birmingham, do yourself a favor and eat here. I plan to be back before heading back to Kentucky.
Taj India is my favorite restaurant in Birmingham! Excellent food, great service, and beautiful atmosphere. Perfect for a casual lunch, date, or special occasion. My favorite dish is the Lamb Korma.
Chicken Korma, Chicken Dalcha, Chicken and Lamb Tikka, Chicken Biryani, and the garlic naan are all favorites of mine.
Shame on you for making a loyal customer feel unwelcome and embarrassed after asking for a to go container for my lunch. I will not be back. Perhaps you should inform your staff of your 'to go box' policy so that when someone is placing their ONE plate leftovers in a container, that was provided by restaurant staff, the owner(?) Will not feel the need to reprimand you in front of 4 tables of diners.
