TACO SPOT rocks! – I'm new to the area and I discovered TACO SPOT on my weekly drive to work... I have to say they totally rock! Great food, I think the Carne Asada Fries and the Carnitas Tacos are my faves... Definitely one to check out on Colorado Blvd... Clean restaurant and friendly staff too... =D

Some menu items ok, some should be avoided – The burritos here are decent but very basic and nothing special, and a little on the small side (though to be honest, most burritos are probably too big). I had the tostado once, and it was awful -- a handful of wilted shredded lettuce, very wet beans, and some salsa thrown on in. Not recommended. The salsa bar is the best thing here, always featuring avocado salsa.

Slam Dunk! – I've been searching for a health conscious and great tasting (the two don't always work!) mexican spot for some time now... Thank goodness for this place in Eagle Rock, which features both great and healthy food with solid customer service. On my first visit, I tried the Tofu Burrito and was amazed at the right blend of spices and that they new how to cook tofu right (lol)... I've now gone several times and my favorite is their Green Burrito and their Tacos (I guess the namesake works). Highly recommended.

I had the taco platter, with chicken, machaca & carnitas tacos. Chicken was moist, machaca flavorful, and carnitas pretty good (needed more seasoning). My wife had the black bean and cheese burrito on wheat tortilla. It wasn't a runny mess that fell apart (like most), and the beans were tasty. Loved the salsa bar. They have a good ... read more

Just okay! – There are some good things I liked about this new Eagle Rock location. First I have to say I really LOVED the black bean and cheese burrito. It was flavorful, had great texture, and didn't fall apart in my hands. The carnitas in the tacos was good. I'm glad they top them off with cilantro/onions. However, my tacos were on flour tortillas, instead of corn as I expected. We saw the flour/corn tortilla option on the menu boards, and assumed that flour was an option that you had to request. Maybe it was just a mixup... read more
