Staff was great. Food was way to small for price. When they said street taco, it's the size of a street taco $5.00b! Worth maybe 1.50 and basic. Drinks are weak. Taco diner used to be my to go place. Gloria's now is the winner

Still a decent spot and fun but cannot lie. Not what it used to be since management (and ownership) change. Hours have been cut. No more early Saturday and Sunday brunches to set it apart in West Village; not even open til 10 or 11 now. What was wrong with 8 or 9 a.m.? Good pancakes. Portion size less now, menu stramlined. Used to have four queso options from 4 to 8 dollars and brisket was a no cost add / option. Now, you have how many queso choices? ONE! 1 size, white queso only, two bucks more to add brisket. It’s unfortunate that the Taco Diner has taken a serious dive... food is marginal, menu is EXTREMELY limited now and staff is seemingly uninterested in patron satisfaction... don’t plan on returning,except maybe only for a cocktail... we’ll dine elsewhere. A comment was made that perhaps they were purposely trying to drive business across the street to the sister restaurant (Mi Covina)....which has seriously lackluster food! Sad for the West Village
