R-Place closed? Black Bear Diner put in? I suppose R-Place was okay, one in a dying breed of sit down restaurants for truckers. However, Black Bear Diner has better food than R-Place did. I guess the bakery of treats is a loss for some, but BBD has pretty (un)healthy size pies.
This truck stop is really nice. There was plenty of room to park our 40ft Class A RV for the night. In the morning, we used the shower facilities and were pleasantly surprised by how nice and clean they were. I really appreciate the efforts they take to provide a comfortable place a way from home, and, staff was friendly and professional. Thank you for the great travel experience.
Used to stop here all the time pulling oversize they would allow me to drop and goto the hotel over night.. Not anymore only allowed to unhook for 2 hrs kinda hard to sleep in a daycab 10 hours
The diner has been replaced with black bear. This means they no longer have a cooler of their specialty cheesecakes, cakes, scones, and other sweet delights. That was what made this a regular stop every time I had the opportunity to pass by here.
