Tonight we attended the Music of Queen. The symphony and the choir did a phenomenal job…when I could hear them. Despite what we were advertised, we spent the evening watching an unfortunate and unprofessional cover band, with the symphony barely coming through. In fact, we couldn’t even see the symphony, despite sitting in the 6th row. The drums and piano were pushed to forward centre stage blocking all those behind them. Symphony Nova Scotia made an absolute mess of Handel. They crucified this version of the story of Christ. Handel's Messiah, the beloved oratorio of the greatest story ever told, has endured three centuries but it only took one concert to be recklessly dishonoured. Why? Because they MUZZLED the choir!
