Care was ok. Most staff were very caring. I don’t like the idea of “ hospitalists” as it ends up there is no one really over the patients case. No one to negotiate the maze of things being done. No one to direct the team of what needs to be done. We were constantly mediating for our loved one. One hospitalist rudely told us our loved one would “ never get better”. Well guess what, she is much better and she had a TBI.
Much better then it was Stevens they have allways been pretty good with me
I was admitted with pneumonia on Christmas night...spent 4 days on 5 West, and I have to say, if you have to be in a hospital, this is a great place to be. I never lacked attention by the nursing staff (all of whom were always cheerful and upbeat), and Dr. Basra and his wife, Karen Basra, were two of the most compassionate medical professionals I have ever met. My gratitude for the great care I received cannot be fully expressed here.
