Better than homecooked!!! – Besides the best barbecue pork in town, the sides are exceptional. The macaroni and cheese is to die for. Great slaw, OK beans, and fabulous fries. Yummy banana pudding closes the deal!
Good smoked sausage – I really enjoyed this place and the food is great. Try the smoked sausage but be warned... it's spicy!
Sweet Pickles in the Sauce – Come hear for the music. The sauce that they use kills all the flavor of the meat. Someone decided that using a sweet-pickle based barbecue sauce was a good idea. Big mistake. Personally, I think it taste bad. That's the best I can say. This sauce is used to hide the fact that they cannot consistently cook the meat to the correct temperatures. Ribs Ribs Ribs – Absolute best Ribs in town! Great atmosphere. HUGE quantities. Split a rack of ribs with a friend.
BETTER GO HUNGRY! – This is a fun "down home" place with a big wooden porch (watch out for those loose planks!), wooden floors and big wooden tables & benches where you can spread out to eat like a hog! The sauces are left on the table so you don't have to beg for more from your waitress (like some other BBQ places!). The sides are homemade and plenty to share. The restaurant is a fun, friendly, upbeat place and is a great value for your money!! We love it!
