Terrible food! – This place came highly recommended, and it is very cute with a fun atmosphere, especially because of the great bands. However, that is where the good stuff ends. It was the worst BBQ we've ever had. "Baby back" ribs were very fatty & thick, no way could they actually be baby back. They came out cold. The pork sandwich was all the parts you just don't want to eat, very fatty. The baked beans also came out cold! One of the best meals I have had! – I saw a food show that was highlighting BBQ joints in Atl and they had a segment highlighting this place. Well let me tell you, everything the show said about this place is true. Some of the best food I have since I have lived here. I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in eating some authentic down south BBQ. The portions are huge so prepare to be full when you leave here. A 5 out of 5 on my scale.
Swallow At The Hollow is worth the wait Swallow at the Hollow is an interesting place. The barbecue is good and the entertainment is excellent. Portions are enormous. A great place to bring the kids for dinner and music.
Swallow At The Hollow Good is delicious, quick, and homemade. Music is wonderful but be prepared to be turned away on Friday or Saturday nights if you haven't already purchased tickets, and you MUST purchase tickets. Family Style... all around a great time for down home BBQ
Still one of the best – I had worked for a few months in the Roswell area two years ago and fell in love with Swallow in the Hollow. Very good Bar-B-Q in the ATL area – Ice cold beer served straight out of a canoe with about 300 lbs of ice in it. Very nice! The dinner portions are more than most humans can consume and very good quality. I typically get a half order of the Baby Back Ribs which comes with two sides. change is not always good – Menu has changed for the worst...many of the items we liked are no longer there (smoked sausage, and pizza) They still have a sausage sandwich but it does not compare to the other one. More fat in the meat. Thank goodness if your going for a show you are not required to eat there. Be very careful when you think you have a confirmed accomodation (as they call it) better call and confirm. Only one dessert offered and it's ok at best. GREAT FOOD Food was so delicious! They BBQ is so good, but what I really liked is the Smoked Portabello Mushroom sandwich. YUMMY! I'm drooling just thinking about it. The portions are huge, but the food is a little pricey. I think it's worth every penny though. The atmosphere is really nice and laid back. It has that old Southern charm because it's an old farmhouse.
Awesome, awesome, awesome food! Loved it! From the hideaway spot to the decor and the food - it's the best I've had in a long time. The food is awesome (have I said that yet?), and the service is great. Don't dress up in your Sunday best because if you're trying to do the food justice, you'll get a little messy depending on what you order. It's worth a visit - especially if you enjoy a good rack of ribs.
