Noise Issues I have lived in the Asher for 10 months, and have been able to hear my my next door neighbors sneeze, unload their dishwashers, have conversations inside their apartments, watch television. I have been able to hear what I imagine is every footstep from the upstairs apartment, as well. I feel that I have almost no privacy because of this. Golden standard for luxury apartments in DC - amazing management team! I've lived in DC over 12 years across multiple properties, and no other building even comes close to the quality of the Drake. The leasing and management team is PHENOMENAL. Without exception, they are the most professional, detail-oriented, and resident-centric management team I've ever interacted with; they consistently go above and beyond.
Get what you pay for First off, if you use Amazon Prime, do not expect you packages to actually be delivered, 4-5 deliveries for me went missing before I started using the Hub locker. The apartment itself is fine outside of the roaches and occasional mouse, most of the problems are with the management. They are unresponsive at best, and there is no one on site should you need help with anything. If you have a problem on a Friday or weekend, better tough it out because it's not going to get fixed until Monday. When you do fil... read more
Cockroaches Awful. Loud and full of bugs. I had to beg them to let me out of my lease after finding approx 40 cockroaches over a few week period, so gross. They let me leave but had to pay penalties. During COVID also! This place has no soul and management has no heart.
A gem in DC! Amazing location with new and beautiful apartments. The staff is so kind and helpful, and they make it feel like home!
Terrible Experience. Do not move here. The management issues threats and basically laughs off maintenance requests. There are so many better options in DC. Chose one of those.
Great location, incredible building, even better staff. I lived in the Harper for 6 years in two different units and loved every second of it. I'd honestly never have moved if the building had 2 bedroom apartments in it, but we just needed more space. Aside from it being in a great location, the entire staff were incredibly helpful with everything from installing fixtures to fixing drains to putting lunches I forgot to take to work back in my fridge for me during the day. Good Service, Great location Moved in almost 3 years ago when they opened. Brand new everything. The building management, leasing office, and general support staff have always been super friendly and helpful. Great location. Never had any major issues. Sad to leave, but I want a dog :-)
Couldn't Move Out Fast Enough - Significant Rat problem - Paper thin walls and floors - Management can be difficult to deal with - Frequent obstructions - e.g., trucks that block the gate - that prevent you from exiting or entering the back parking lot or the garage. This is especially problematic because it often occurs at peak times, when residents are leaving for work.
