The chicken teriyaki bowl had 3 small pieces of broccoli. The chicken was fatty, grizzled and seems like it was previously frozen. Barely any sauce. Couldn’t even continue eating it.
I usually go for the shrimp terriyaki rice bowl, my favourite and I daresay the best shrimp terriyaki rice in Halifax. The shrimp is cooked just right, never overdone. It has become my staple lunch meal.
Small portions, rubbery shrimp, and overly salty chicken that practically disintegrated. The food looked nothing like the pictures, and we couldn’t even finish our meals.
I had a little summer project to try out every sushi restaurant on the peninsula, and Sushi Square was definitely my biggest surprise -- as a newer restaurant opening in the food court my expectations were middling but I was absolutely blown away, great pricing, great taste, quality ingredients, AND a good combo menu, everything I want from a sushi restaurant. Today is my birthday, so we decided to celebrate it with a sushi lunch / dinner at sushi square in Halifax, the Salmon sushi and Sashimi were so fresh and tasty, so was the Unagi sushi and the California rolls, having been to Japan many times, I can say with confidence that the quality and the pleasant service is almost at par.
