I'm not even sure where to begin. This company has terrible business practices and communication. We booked for what ended up being a week during COVID-19 where OBX enforced travel restrictions that stopped us from coming for our week. I communicated early adn often with Surf or Sound via email and phone and was assured I would receive a full refund within a few weeks of our booked week if teh travel restriction was still in place when our week arrived. This company is fraudulent and promised a refund in writing to hundreds of people due to the COVID shutdown of the island on the outer banks of NC. After repeated telling everyone "be patient due to stringent accounting requirements it is taking longer than normal to process refunds" all the while during that time they were hiring a law firm while lying to their customers saying they would refund in WRITING, if a company will bold face lie to you in writing, imagine what their word is worth, nothing is the answer. Wish I could give this NO STARS. Horrible, greedy company. After having our lives shut down for two months, several of our group now unemployed, two of us can no longer get time off from work, and these cretins still want FULL PAYMENT and will not give a refund, even when we paid for insurance. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!! We are in the time of a world-wide pandemic and they seem to be the only business that does not understand the meaning of “State Lockdown.” We have military, police, and nurses who are working on the frontline of this pandemic to keep people safe and we cannot leave the state. Presently in rental Neptune’s Nest in Avon. Photos of rental are deceiving. House is dirty. The couches are stained, the layer of filth on vents and fans. Hot tub dirty. Barbecue if disgusting. Mattresses are cheap springy. For top dollar this home doesn’t meet standard. Unsanitary.
