Very low end place. The door numbers are paper held on with scotch tape! The suite was a normal motel room with another bed in a very tiny room, just big enough for the bed. There was no closet in either room. The mattresses were new and very comfortable. The comfy bed was the best part of our stay. Oh, and it was very clean.
It's 7:03 pm on our 2nd day stay and our room has not been cleaned or new towels brought yet!
This is the most motel ever!!! I stayed for 1 night in the motel in room 220 and at 1 p.m, I began to hear noises in the restroom. The lights were turning on/off by itself and the restroom door got locked without touching it. There is something wrong with this motel stay away from it!
BEWARE BEWARE......THIS IS A Low class cheapass old motel in a slummy neighborhood, with NO HOT water!!!! As soon as I saw the room I knew it was a sleaze bag place, too late for me, & there was hammering, sawing, weirdos walking around the place all day........... very obnoxious.
I really liked it! Under new ownership and very friendly staff. Got a brand new, recently remodeled and upgraded room at at cheaper price compared to last hotel which is farther than SurfCity Inn. Can't express it more, this where I'll come back to next time I'm in Santa Cruz.
