This was a great experience with delicious food and friendly, knowledgeable service with a clean and unique ambiance and interior.
Food was excellent. While the Hummus is not Zahav level, I would say the Lamb surpasses it. And the desserts were completely mind blowing. Oh and the Fatteh is one of the best bites I’ve ever had. Ever.
I’m only giving it 3 stars because when we were waiting for our table we were told we couldn’t order a drink at the bar. They didn’t want us to bother the customers eating at the bar. I’ve never heard of this before and was a little offended because we were customers also. The owner/ manager finally took our drink order but it wasn’t managed very well. That being said the food was excellent and our waitress was wonderful.
Walked in with a friend without a reservation for dessert around 9pm on a weekend and waited about 15-20 minutes. We had a selection of every dessert off of the dinner menu. Each item was delicious and like nothing else I’ve tasted before. I preferred the strawberries/olive oil cake dessert. The character of the dining space was highlighted by ornate tiling and awesome table spaces. It is clear that every detail was carefully curated when developing this space. Awesome place I’ll return to when I’m back in Philly.
