Dr Sunwoo was my pain management doctor prior to my back surgery. Although, he was located over 250 from my home, I did not consider any other physician for pain management services. I found him thorough, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain things to me and answered all questions. If I ever require pain management services again, I will return to Dr Sunwoo.
People are surprised to learn that I drive 3 hours for an appointment but, Dr. Sunwoo is so caring and compassionate. He's assured me and helped me make the decision to go ahead with my recommended back surgery.
I’ve seen Dr. Sunwoo on several occasions regarding worsening low back pain. I found him to be a concerned and caring physician who listens to what you say and asks questions to pinpoint your your problem. He has never rushed me out like some doctors and even came back in to see if I had any more questions before leaving. He has performed several back injections which have alleviated my pain. I found his staff to be welcoming and professional. I would recommend him highly.
I find Dr Sunwoo is personable, practical & a great listener to details about varying degrees of change with each visit. Easy access to 3 locations. I would definitely recommend Dr Sunwoo!
I had my first appointment with Dr. Sunwoo yesterday. He was very warm and compassionate upon first meeting. He did a thorough examination and wanted to help come up with a quick plan of action to relieve my pain.
I received a spinal cord injury which resulted in quadriplegia this past July 2016. I went in for a "routine" cervical injection with Sun Woo and while I was in recovery, I began to feel my arm and leg going numb along with severe pain in my head. The nurse called Dr. Sunwoo repeatedly, but no response from him until approximately 3 hours later when he appeared at another ER I had been transferred to. I have had 2 serious neck surgeries so far and another scheduled. I will never be the same.
Dr, Sunwoo and his staff are wonderful! He diagnosed my problem and treated me when other doctors could not. Tarpon has same day and next day appointments that meet my schedule.

Does not even deserve one star. The entire staff from front to back are rude, condescending, and abrasive. I've never been treated so poorly and unprofessionally in my life from any industry, let alone a place that's supposed to be in charge of your care and health. The nurse Jessica is a liar, and hateful person. Dr. Sunwoo is condescending, doesn't listen, and is trying to get you out of his office as soon as you come in.
