I thought Sunstar and Heating was a trustworthy company. I was very wrong. They worked on my air-conditioning unit at my house. They increased their original price and didn't really fix it. This is not good for a widowed senior citizen with a limited income.
Barbara Sheele of SunStar Heating & Aire was at first pleasant. But she later turned rude and quite hostile towards us. She was quick to take our money, not so quick to resolve several issues. Her technicians left a mess. After their work, the unit doesn’t work properly.
To our great regret, we hired Barbara Sheele at Sunstar Heating and Aire to install a new air conditioning unit. Two days after the installation, the unit broke down. Yes, broke down and while it was over 100 degrees outside. Her comment was, “Are you sure?” “You should have called earlier.” “That’s the manufacturer’s responsibility”. “And let me know if you have any more problems and I will try to help…” Is this the type of company you want to install your air conditioner? I didn’t think so.
Sunstar and Aire has a real problem keeping appointments and being on time. They didn’t bring the correct equipment so they had to come back again, late. The technician had a bad attitude and wasn’t professional. They wanted money upfront prior to showing up. I had an appointment window of 8-10am, and even got a confirmation call. No show by 10, multiple phone calls (3 or 4). I took off of work, and missing out on earnings, and won't be able to take off again in the near future. They finally show up and ask me “is it that time of the month for you?” Sunstar Heating and Aire installed then installs a faulty air conditioner. They said, “There’s nothing they can do. That’s the manufacturer’s responsibility. That’s our policy.”
This business is untrustworthy. They attempted to raise the price on work they had already given us a "written" quote on. They left a mess. As with many contractors, they were always late. I suspected they were going to be trouble when they parked right in front of our garage door.
Sunstar Heating and Aire is a pretty unprofessional business. They showed up late. Left a mess. Changed their price, to increase it of course. Then, didn't really fix the air conditioning unit. We called somebody else and it finally all worked out. We wouldn't even call Sunstar in an emergency.
Didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. I called somebody else and it worked out.
Not good, not good, not good!!! The repairman didn't fix the air handler properly. He left a mess and overcharged me. Looking now for a new company with a brain and honest management.
