PLEASE BEWARE! !!BEWARE!! I'll start by saying that Dr. Kumar and his staff do NOT listen to the customer at ALL, well at least not me. I called to make an appointment to have my 8 week old F2 Savannah kitten her 3-way shots and a general checkup. I specifically asked if they had killed vaccine shots. Savannah cats need to have killed vaccines, if given modified lived virus vaccines they will actually contract the virus and they will DIE! Love Dr. K. I love Dr. K! My cat was sick this week and I got an appointment with Dr. K one hour after I called about my sick cat. My cat ended up needing a serious procedure but Dr. K found ways to help lower the vet bill for me. I thought the cost was extremely reasonable and I would recommend him to anyone.
Great caring service! I love this place. They were so helpful for Roxy, Scooter & i'm about to take my new puppy there tomorrow! They're very kind, efficient & always recommending ways for me to save money.
Real Estate Agent I agree that the people who had negative comments about Dr. Kumar and/or his staff need to look inside themselves. If you want to visit a clinic that does take advantage of you while your pet is sick, go to Wilshire Pets on LaBrea and Wilshire. Great Vet! He saved my dogs life!!!! My little Vizsla had parvu and he saved her. One of the best vets I ever had and I trust him 100%. He doesn't do unnecessary tests and once when I found a cat in the street he didn't charge me anything for her shots.
Trustworthy & Knowledgeable Vet Wow!!! I can't believe the negative reviews on Dr. Kumar. This Vet has been incredible. We've been coming to Sunset Animal Hospital since 1992. They've had very good vets since then but Dr. Kumar is by far the best Vet. A friend of mine is a VET in NYC and he even thinks Dr. Kumar is excellent. He would never ever recommend any tests unless they are necessary. I know because I've insisted on many alternative therapies for our epileptic dog.
Best vet my dog ever had I adopted an unhealthy basset hound and after having bad experiences at the los feliz small animal hospital i was referred here. Dr. K is soooooooo nice, as well as his staff. They helped my girl live a long happy comfortable life!
