HORRIBLE DOCTOR!!!! Dr. Kumar is the worst doctor ever. He gets very angry and yells at you if you ask questions about your sick animal. He only cares about taking your money and does not like to give information to the owner of the sick animal. Dr. Kumar feels you are questioning his ability as a Dr. if you ask details about your animal's diagnosis. Trustworthy & Knowledgeable Vet Wow!!! I can't believe the negative reviews on Dr. Kumar. This Vet has been incredible. We've been coming to Sunset Animal Hospital since 1992. They've had very good vets since then but Dr. Kumar is by far the best Vet. A friend of mine is a VET in NYC and he even thinks Dr. Kumar is excellent. He would never ever recommend any tests unless they are necessary. I know because I've insisted on many alternative therapies for our epileptic dog.
Lousy Doctor Obviously Daniel H. can't read....because if he could he would see that Tracy C. wrote exactly what the problem was with Dr. Kumar. Like Tracy C, I also had a very bad experience with Dr. Kumar. He was rude and uncaring. He is very arrogant and does not like to answer pet owner's questions regarding their animal's condition. Excelent Pet Doc! My wife and I have been taking our two cats to Dr. Kumar since he was recomended to us by a friend three years ago. He has always been helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and fair. He frequently calls us at home to follow up on recent visits and he always makes us feel confident about the health of our animals. His prices are fair...occasionally even too fair... and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We're big fans of Dr. K!
Great service, value, caring Dr. I have four animals and have been to several animal hospitals in the LA area, so I feel that I have enough background to make a proper rating. Dr. Kumar and his staff are very caring and considerate to myself and my animals. Rates are comparable to other vets, and even less in some cases. Ultimately, it is your decision to which procedures, tests, and medicines you choose for your pet, so if you feel like you are paying too much, maybe you didn't need to do every analysis to get a diagnosis. ... read more
Nice place The three ladies working at the front desk were friendly and welcoming. I never have any problems with the Veterinarians they are great.
Love Dr. K. I love Dr. K! My cat was sick this week and I got an appointment with Dr. K one hour after I called about my sick cat. My cat ended up needing a serious procedure but Dr. K found ways to help lower the vet bill for me. I thought the cost was extremely reasonable and I would recommend him to anyone.
Friendly, helpful & professional Was on a XCountry romp with my Lab. Went Mtn Biking (She had never been) and she developed paw problems. Dr. Kumar and his staff took very good care of her, charged a fair amount and relieved me of a good deal of my guilt. A friend of a friend (Local) recommended Sunset Animal Hospital to me and now I do the same for you!
Dr. Kumar is a great vet, he's been taking care of my dog for 8 years and I've recommended him over and over again.
