They misdiagnosed me with mono when I really had pneumonia. All of my symptoms matched pneumonia. They even tested for mono and when it came back negative they said “blood tests can be delayed when you have mono.” A giant waste of time and the stereotyping is crazy!
WARNING: Despite advertising as urgent care, they are not urgent care and will not bill as such. Billing department is less than understanding and quite degrading. It’s a shame because the PA on staff was very helpful and took great care, but because of Summit Medical Billing, I will not be back and have told many others to avoid. Let me save you time and money by telling you do not go here. You are better off going to walgreens urgent care. They bill as a normal doctors visit because they are an “walk in clinic” even though their website says “urgent care.” For us, this was $300 versus a $50 co pay. When talking to their billing, they are unfriendly and rude… “what do you want me to do?” Save yourself the hassle and don’t deal with them.

I visited the Summit clinic in Bearden, which I have gone to many times before and have never had a bad experience. This time, they put me with NP Salyards, and I had the worst experience with a medical professional that I’ve ever had. I was being seen because I suspected I had a yeast infection. Salyards didn’t bother to introduce herself to me or even make eye contact with me when she walked in the room.
