I ignored simple warning signs like long office waits (once 8 hours, 4 average). When I had to changed my pharmacy , she wouldn't send required information and refused to call the pharmacy when they said a simple call would work, . Excruciating medical pain meanwhile ensued. When she finally returned my call she stated; “I am not calling the pharmacy - they ask too many questions”, “I am busy with a patient that has urgent needs”, and finally “quit calling". Find a Dr. who cares about patients
Staff is totally incompetent, took over a month to get pre authorization for my Rx. By the time it was ready to fill, they informed me that I need a f/u before the would fill my Rx, which was prescribed at my last visit. Trying to collect more money. I feel this office will scam you to get more money. Stay far away. Oh and my visit was 1.5hours behind schedule
As I was waiting in the waiting room the receptionist was making calls regarding other patients to insurance companies and giving out private information for everyone to hear. Name, date of birth, insurance id. Dr. Romanick only listened to my symptoms and didn't even examine me. She was misleading in the medications she prescribed and gave no education on them. She gave me a pamphlet about sexual abuse and told me that 1 in 4 girls will be molested which had nothing to do with our visit.
Don't waste your time. Dr Rominick wasted 3 months of my time while I was quite ill. I waited for 70-90 minutes to see her as she ran very late. She didn't adequately look at the labs I brought her or follow up on the info I gave her, or respect what I or my PCP said, and refused to let me have lab results after she fired me as a patient. I saw other disgruntled patients as well and the office staff is disgruntled and beleaguered, too.
I have been a patient of Dr. Romanick for over 16 years. I think she is very thorough. I appreciate that she is willing to listen and spend time with me, as she does with her other patients. As a result, she runs behind. Sometimes I call to see if she is running behind before I head to my appointment so I do not have to spend a lot of time in the waiting room (as I have done with other providers who run behind).
I have never seen a doctor who was less professional, or habitually late1 Every appointment I've scheduled, her receptionist calls the day before to remind me to call in the day of to see how far behind Dr. Romanick is running! The first time, I thought this was a fluke, but I ended up waiting 45 minutes for a very rushed 15 minute appointment. The second visit, I waited over 1 hour and 45 minutes, and never saw the doctor before I ran out of time and had to return to work.
She understands my issues and is supportive/proactive in making adjustments in treatment.
I would not recommend Dr. Romanick. She runs an hour late with no warning. She is condescending, accusatory, and a fruit loop. My (teenage) daughter had the appointment and I accompanied her. The doctor accused me of domestic violence right off the bat. She told me she could feel my negativity and I was to blame for my daughter's pain. I didn't know I was seeing a psychiatrist. She asked why we didn't go to a neurologist. I told her we were doing what our primary care giver recommended. WOW!
