As the owner of Studio 2000, I feel it appropriate to address Rachel rvr2006's tip about us. I appreciate all reviews, but must set the record straight. My first reccomendation to all of you is not to come in on your due date. Nothing will be right, as it's a very uncomfortable time. My staff was very hesitant to provide services on someone who was at 9 months. We and most doctor's don't suggest it. Dirty, Not a serene experience – I am judging the SPA part of this establishment only. PROS: Called to make my appointment, Monica answered the phone. Very well informed, polite, helpful, and best of all nice. Music selection was very nice in "relaxation" room. All staff I encountered were very nice and friendly. CONS: When you walk in, you are greeted by a large rack of nail polish for sale. Not my idea of a serene welcome. The place is FILTHY. There is a layer (or 2) of dust on everything. While I appreciate all reviews, be assured that this guest, Rachel, was not charged for her services. Being a father, I understand the stress that goes along with a woman being pregnant. I would advise not to come in for spa services on your delivery due date as did Rachel. Everyone on my staff was hesitant to provide the services, as she was at the end of the 3rd trimester and it was high risk. They are a caring group of Board Certified, licensed professionals who were genuinely concerned about this young lady's well being.... read more
Very Professional – Went to Studio 2000 for my first bikini wax. All of the staff were very nice and professional. The decor is dark and calming and the music they play is relaxing. Nice comfy chairs to sit in while you wait. Georgetta took the time to explain the process and she did an excellent job. Made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. I would definately recommed her if it is your first waxing. If I lived here I would definately visit again.
Lousy hair cuts – A few years ago, I had an OK haircutter at Studio 2000. The location was good and the studio is airy and pleasant. After that haircutter left, I tried other hair stylists there--and the cuts were *awful*. Someone else already warned against Edward in these reviews, I will as well! He gave me a terrible cut. Then, I had a young woman cut my hair who did a worse job than a 4 year old with blunt scissors. Plus, the fees were very expensive. Bottom line, avoid Studio 2000....
Fabulous! – Studio 2000 has always been a great experience. Since November the salon has had a serious makeover. The change seems to have brought nothing but positives to the staff and clients. I also visit and have visited Christina for quite sometime and she has done a a fantastic job on my very difficult hair. I also LOVE the product line, Brocoto and Davines (sp?) have changed my life. :) I highly recommend Studio 2000 to anyone who likes quality and embraces change.
Studio 2000 & Christina GREAT – I have been going to Studio 2000 for almost a year now and have had nothing but positive experiences. Christina has cut my hair since I started going there and she is terrific! She always listens to what I want and makes suggestions on what she thinks would look good. Will look for a better salon – I'm a young woman who knows how I like to have my hair done, come in with plenty of pictures, and plenty of specific directions for what I want done, and what I don't want. I had been going to the same stylist for 3-4 years over which time we had developed a trust and familiarity that he knows what works for me and what I like, and I can give him vague limitations but otherwise trust his judgement and give him full artistic & creative liscence. A wonderful experience! – This salon is worth the trip from Carmel any day. The stylist I normally go to flaked out on me for the 100th time, so I decided to try Studio 2000. I can't explain how refreshing it is to have someone actually listen to my needs and desires! I wanted a style I could work with easily and color that was close to my natural (from 20 years ago) color. Great Salon - Avoid Edward!!! – This Salon is fabulous with friendly owners and staff. I went there for 3 years in college with such wonderful results that I referred my friends, cousins, mom, and aunts. However, this week a friend of mine went in for a regular highlight with her usual stylist Edward and came out with her hair completely wrecked until it grows out... up to 5 years!
