Fab-u-lous I was refered to the salon by a friend who has been going there for years. In the recent past before I went to Studio 2000, I had gone to 2 others salons and had my hair destroyed by wannabes that have no knowledge of hair color. Without my having to give much direction, John cut my hair, removing the damaged ends and was somehow able to fix my overprocessed color to a beautiful brown that I loved. Loyal Customer for 5+ Years I met John in a bar - he gave me his card, after my first haircut - it was love at first sight. He's fun, interesting and an absolute DYNAMO with color and cuts. Yes, he occasionally runs late - think of it as a purposeful slow down to your life - or get smart and call ahead to see how he's running. As far as Walter etc - I find them a colorful cast of characters who only enhance my experience - whether they are having a bad day or not (breath people, breath). Step out of the fray I've been going to Walter for more than a year now, as have a good portion of my friends. He's a versatile stylist and we all enjoy the final hair style. We all receive compliments on our hair.
Patricia rocks da house I started going to Studio 2000 over a year ago and Patricia was recommended to me. I couldn't be happier - she completely transfomed a tired old hairstyle into a trendy, hip look that I get complimented on all the time (FYI it's a short cut with lots of highlights, I go into the shop about every 4 weeks). Always fabulous I have been going to Studio 2000 for two years. Before, I had always felt nervous getting my hair cut, having ended up with some bad experiences -- stylists who did not listen to me when I told them what I wanted or were otherwise distracted while they were working. I've never had that happen to me at Studio 2000. John has always listened to me. He?s made suggestions, but never done anything I?ve not approved. Had to find a new Salon I had to find a new Salon recently (chose Bang Salon on U St. and was very happy). I had been going to Patricia at Studio 2000 for the past year or so. Unfortunately, Patricia is now doing real estate and only cuts hair on the weekend, which isn't very convenient for me. Also, 3 of the last 4 times I neeeded a haircut, there was something that went awry with my appointment. RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to John and he was great but I will never go back due to the rude and obnoxious attitude I experienced not only on the phone but in person when I showed up for my appointment. I can't believe the owner and manager act this way when we are paying his bills. What an ungrateful group of stylists. I can't believe this attitude comes from such a man who I hear is terrible with hair and can't cut to save his life!!!!!!!!!!
