Best steak house in the city – I have been here three times now, and although it leaves a dent in my wallet, it is worth it. The decor of the restaurant is very trendy and gives a great vibe to the restaurant. The food is superb, the filet mignon is the best and the sides to get are the mashed potatoes and the creamed corn. They are our of this word. Expensive but worth it – I was in New York with my boyfriend and his 17 year old son last weekend (7/21/07) and had dinner at the Striphouse. great steaks but obscene prices – We went last Friday to celebrate a birthday and I have to give credit where it is due--the steaks were delicious. Definitely the closest we have to the "gold standard" of Peter Lugers here in Manhattan. My reason for only 3 stars is twofold--the prices were insane. Best steak I've ever had. – Bar none, the best steak I've ever had. Went for my bf's birthday and was an amazing experience. So much so that I almost forgot that we had to wait 45 minutes after our reservation time until we were seated because they were behind schedule. AMAZING!!!! – I went to Strip House for the first time this past Sunday night with my husband and let me tell you this place did not dissapoint! The Black Truffle Creamed Spinach was out of this world and my Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection...it melted in my mouth. Great strip steak! – The strip steak I had was delicious and perfectly made. It was tender and flavorful, although the salt & pepper rub was a bit heavy on the pepper side. Melts In Your Mouth... – What an amazing place. Went with a mid sized group of people and when we arrived our table wasnt ready but we were not expecting it to be. Anyways, well worth the wait. One of the best steak houses I have been too and I have been to many. The goosefat potatoes were out of this world.
I felt like I was in a deli – The worst service I have ever had. The waiter would barely stop at our table. He treated us like we were in line at a deli at lunch hour rush. I have nothing to say about the service nor the food. It was average.
