My husband and I lived here for over a year and it was horrible! When we moved in it took almost 2 weeks before I got an oven/stove that worked. We had trouble constantly the entire time we lived there. Bug problems, dog poop everywhere, noisy neighbors, parking problems, rude kids walking around. We have had some maintenance issues, but nothing outside the norm . We have always gotten prompt responses when we have called. They recently changed ownership & management...again. This time, they no longer participate in Section 8, so I think that has made a huge difference. I lived here about 15 years ago, too, and I grew up just a few blocks away, so I have been familiar with this complex my entire life. Definitely improved!!! I have lived here since Nov. of 2011 and really like it! My girlfriend works downtown, and I work on the southside, so it is perfect. 10 min drive for her, and 5 min drive for me. I haven t had any problems here other than the usual stuff, which they have been pretty good with taking care of up to this point. It is a pretty quite place, and I like that.
I have lived here for almost 3 years. They have gone thru new management 3 times since Ive moved in. Now they are under new ownership also. The maitenance man that was there did nothing but sit & watch tv. The ones they had after that did a little more. The new management & maintenance are better. When they took over I put in a request for 4-5 things to be fixed that still hadnt been fixed in over a year. DONTRENT RUN FOR THE I RATHER SLEEP IN A VAN THAN RENT HERE.THEY DONT SPRAY FOR BUGS!!!! THE office doesnt call you back when you need maintenance. THank god Lease is up and moving! Please living outside under overpass is nicer and its the same environment. The locks arent safe plus having random people knock on your door late at nite and they have security here maybe they should do better Background checks on people. They say new management this place is a JOKE! listen up!
I just rented my two bedroom apartment from Strawbridge and it is great. Apartment was clean and in working condition. The management is new and are doing a great job. I would suggest anyone looking for an affordable apartment on a fixed income to come and see their apartments. My friend told me not to rent here but, I am satisfied with my apartment.
Weve lived here for a few months and this place it HORRIBLE! we dont have doors upstairs. The paint and wood chips off every day! The shower leaks. Thats only part of it.. Everyday someone comes to our door knocking for 10 minutes and Im not answering it because I dont know who the men are and I have a 10 months old daughter.
