What a fun day! Great for all ages and reasonably priced!
The steam engine ride is top notch. Unfortunately it's a little bit of a short trip, but it doesn't hurt the experience. The real treasure is the Pennsylvania Rail Road Museum. The work they are doing to preserve our history is amazing. It would be awesome if some of their rarer locomotives could get some track time. In particular, their Shay locomotive. Es muy divertido y se pasa un buen momento en familia
It was fantastic, we all enjoyed train riding thoroughly
Great fun for kids and adults. The Dining Car Cafe has good food and it's affordable as well. I also recommend buying the combo ticket and checking out the train museum. Not only do you get to see a huge display of real trains but you get to walk into a few of them. Definitely plan for a whole day of fun!
We've been twice now, and enjoyed both times. The trains are beautifully maintained, and the ride is peaceful and picturesque. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the dining cart. The food is overpriced and pretty bad. Other than that, would definitely go again. Totally worth it! Also, check out the cute gift shops and the museum directly across the street.
Kids loved it! My son loved waving at the father/son engineer/fireman duo! Beautiful country and great time!
real nice place to visit well taken care of,loads of history an interactive portion for small children but not a real good choice for food it was hot cramped and very little verity you would be best served to bring your own food there are very nice places to have a picnic style meal
My family has been going to the Strasburg RR for the last 20 years. We've always had a wonderful time. This was the first time since my husband became permanently disabled that we had the need for assistance getting a wheelchair up on the train. The staff was attentive and prompt in assisting him. Although my three sons are now adults, they insist on returning every year and bring their respective girlfriends as well. I am thrilled to see my children continuing to make memories at the RR because of the ones they've made sinc... read more
