I rode this when I was a kid and it was a cool train ride and We just took our kids and they liked it. So if in the area I say it is a must do.
Nice ride through country side. 10 min outside downtown Lancaster. Plenty of activities for the little ones. Check in frequently for special event rides.
It was a nice experience. The cars were beautifully redone. The food was good. It was a pleasant excursion.
I have been visiting this railroad since I was a kid. Not saying how old I am but over 25 Years...It keeps getting better. Have tried the dining car, Just Awesome. Today, the First Class Lounge car, was amazing. Over stuffed chairs with a cocktail and watching my son and his son enjoy that trip back in time.
This was a very fun time. Beautiful scenery, fun and inviting staff, history, and a great overall experience. The Amish townships that you go through are very fun and rustic. I highly recommend it when you’re looking for a new activity to do with your kids or just want to do something that’s out of the norm for you. 10/10. I would definitely go again.
