Wait staff was rude and disrespectful. For the price of their food one would expect a more professional acting staff.
Cindy and I dined at Stove Saturday February 28th, 2018. The atmosphere was fun and eclectic, and intimate with only around 10 tables. The southern cuisine was outstanding. I still cannot figure out how Chef Syd married root vegetables, flounder, and blue cheese into a delectable entre. Cindy loved the shrimp soup. Never a disappointment when we have a meal here. The way all your taste buds come alive to the flavor in each dish is something we have not experienced anywhere else in this area.
Thanks to Tim and Mel for bringing us to meet Syd the food was fantastic and Syd the true entertainer.
The local Puppy drum fish was excellent! Easily the BEST piece of fish I have ever had!

Have gone to Stove many times. A great experience very time. My wife and I even booked our wedding dinner there! We had a special meal prepared. We loved every bit of the night. The scallops were massive, the steaks were tender and delicious. A great place overall. The other reviews seem to co.plain about parking and location. Leave that on the city of Portsmouth page. Talk about the food and ambiance. Sit at the Cougar table if your party is small...
Me and three of my co-worker came here out of a review from a former manager on 05/19. The three ordered the shrimp & grits bowl and I got the house made pork o rama. LOVED IT!!! My dish was DELICIOUS and the others DRAINED their bowls. After eating, all we could do was lean back as far as we could and just let out breaths, like we were working for an extra eight hours. Always outstanding food and service wether it's Stephanie at the bar or Kim or Byron in the dining all are exceptional. Chef Sydney always produces outstanding meals.
