History Established in 2005. Stormin' Norman's barbecue and Chicken was founded by our Dad (Norman) and Mom (Mary Alice) Richardson. Daddy started up, owned and operated many successful businesses during his lifetime and truly believed that you should not place all of your eggs in one basket. He believed in diversification and he knew a little about everything and did a little of everything, from building Motels in Middle East to washing trucks on I-95. If you want the best Eastern NC barbecue, eat here. The fried chicken and sides are the best around, too.

Always used to stop when it was formerly called Moore's Barbecue traveling from Maryland to South Carolina. Hadn't been in years and just recently stopped for lunch on our way back to Florida. The barbecue was the same as it was years ago..deliscous! And the help was so friendly! Cant wait till we head north again so I can stop
