History Established in 2005. Stormin' Norman's barbecue and Chicken was founded by our Dad (Norman) and Mom (Mary Alice) Richardson. Daddy started up, owned and operated many successful businesses during his lifetime and truly believed that you should not place all of your eggs in one basket. He believed in diversification and he knew a little about everything and did a little of everything, from building Motels in Middle East to washing trucks on I-95. The restaurant business was one of his loves, and he was very good at it... read more

I went there for lunch yesterday. It was my first time and the food was amazing. The ribs were falling off the bone, the chicken was fried crispy and golden brown, and the collards were the best I've ever had! I will definitely be back!

Thank you. We are glad y'all enjoyed. We look forward the opportunity to serve you again.

Great bar b cue sandwiches. Two for $5. With hushpuppies and coleslaw, a meal definitely worth stopping for! Have lots of other stuff like ribs and fried chicken but haven't had them. Too in love with the bar b cue. Nice folks as well. Good value.

And I would never te... read more
Business response:
I am sorry for your bad experience. We gladly welcome service animals. I do apologize for the reaction of that man. Have a blessed day.
I had the BBQ fried chicken plate. The BBQ was good NC style and the breast was very moist and tasty. But the king of the plate were the sides. The green beans had great country flavor without the salt, the butter beans too. The Brunswick stew was great and the mac and cheese we cheesy and creamy. Oh and the banana pudding was homemade with meringue.
Business response:
Thank you for your kind words
Killer ribs and bbq..go every chance I get..nice atmosphere
Business response:
Thank you for kind words and business
The BBQ was good, the sides were good, but I do NOT recommend you getting the hamburger steak! You could tell that it was a piece of processed meat pulled out of the freezer and covered in gravy. It didn't even taste right. So stay away from that and you'll be good
