We hiked the Cherokee trail (around the mountain). Hands down, one of my favorite hiking trails. Close to the city (not too far to drive). On the 5 mile trail, you experience a hike through the woods, see the mountain, the carving, a lake, a covered bridge, and a mill. Beautiful!
I've been climbing this rock for more than 50 years! It is where I find my BLISS!
Beautiful place! Really love it!i will visited next year.
We love Stone Mountain Park, especially kayaking on the lake which has many facets. Also enjoy the campground and camp there at least once a year even tho we live in Atlanta. Climbing the mountain is a must! At least once . Lunch at Golf Club restaurant is always wonderful with a great view of the mountain and lake. We are blessed to have it so close !
Such a amazing and historical place to visit! It was soo worth it
We love Stone Mountain! My husband and I usually go to hike, and it's a great place to do so. We go up the walking trail to the top of the mountain, and we walk Cherokee Trail. We stayed in Stone Mountain Inn this time, and we're loving it. There's something there for everyone.
Always Love my days at Stone Mountain Park..Just the natural beauty of the Park is breath taking..I love walking around, seeing the covered bridge, the mill, walking around the bottom of the Mountain...it makes for a beautiful, enjoyable, day..Nothing like it..Can't wait until spring and summer to enjoy it all and the laser show too..
