I’ve been a patient of Dr Horan for over three years and have been very pleased with the results of my surgery and post operative care. Dr Horan listens to your concerns and takes the time to explain what’s going on and offer options based on your situation. I’ve never had to wait longer than a day or two when requesting an appointment.
Have been seeing this fabulous doctor since 2005. Travel 90 minutes to see him. Professional, on time, 2 successful surgeries, shoulder and knee.
Dr. Steve Horan has performed two knee surgeries on me. The first was an ACL reconstruction. I had a fall down stairs with my knee caught behind me. I am a tennis player and I knew that the fall had re-torn my ACL that Dr. Horan had reconstructed; not even two years prior. Even though the fall was a workman's comp claim, I was fully prepared to go through my own insurance in order to get Dr. Horan's care. Fortunately, my ACL was fully intact and I just needed minor meniscus repair.
Explained the procedure and how he was going to repair the damage to my knee. He did as he said and I am very happy with the results.
I have seen Dr. Huran for elbow, knee and shoulder issues in the last few years. I really like how he is frank and concise, and in a heart beat will tell me out-of-the-box and inexpensive options when the classic approaches haven't worked. And his simple ideas cured my PT-resistant tennis elbow issues! I also love how he involves the patient in analyzing the x-rays, describing exactly what he is looking for, what is very healthy about your joint, and what is of concern.
Just got home from a shoulder surgery, anticipating a relatively minor bone spur removal I declined the long-term block. Bad move. When he got in there Dr Horan found holes in the rotator cuff and extensive scarring and trash. My fault for declining the block and the pre-surgery MRI. Dr Horan made the right decision even if I did not. He had to scrub in an assistant to help, which is unusual for Steve. This is my 4th surgery by Steve, and I have the utmost faith in his expertise.

Dr. Horan is such a highly trained professional that I am truly blessed that I had him for my doctor. I would highly recommend him! He has a great sense of humor and explains everything so you can understand it!
Dr. Horan was great at explanations of diagnoses, very thorough in what he would do, and why my knee was the way it was pre surgery. The surgery itself went great! He gave me options on harvesting a graf from my own body or a cadaver and explained the differences on recovery and allowed me to make the choice with no persuading. His office was quick to fill a prescription when i was going to run out over the long holiday weekend and even stayed late to allow a family member to pick up for me.
Dr. Horan is a competent, thorough surgeon and caring doctor. He spent time answering all my questions and going over my procedure in detail prior to removing the bone spur in my shoulder.
