Get directionsHad a procedure with the doctor and he was kind and professional. You don't get to see him during office visits, instead your are stuck with the PA who is condescending and rude. Go to Mt Nittany. They're a real class act.
When I arrived for my appointment with Dr Yanoshak I was told instead I would meet with the PA instead. Normally I'm ok with it but I was diagnosed with a tumor on my bladder. The PA was dressed in extremely casual attire which to me was very unprofessional. After the appointment I was told to contact them to schedule a procedure. I did exactly that only to have the appointment move from July 1st to July 31s and then to mid August. I never once got to see Dr. Yanoshak. I felt uneasy with their professionalism and decided to ... read more
I woke up one morning with excruciating pain and went to Nason hospital from there Dr. Yanoshak and staff were amazing and gave me top notch care from the surgery at EFS to the in office stent removal. They were all very informative and helpful with any questions I had.
After a lifetime in healthcare, all I can say is wow! The Altoona office is horrible, and I received horrible care. First, you won’t get to see the doctor, rather you’ll see some hot shot physician assistant that runs the office. IMO he is uncaring. I ended up with pudendal neuralgia after a prostate exam. Excruciating pain for a month. It took the office three weeks to call me back only to offer me a urine culture of which I already had two negative ones. They did absolutely nothing but ignore my calls. I had to find my own... read more
Dr Yanoshak is great. My fiancée had a 7mm obstructing kidney stone. All hospital beds were full. Upmc Altoona, Upmc Bedford, Nason, and others. He called each hospital looking for a direct admit. He ended up scheduling him for an emergency lithotripsy first thing the next morning. It's really sad that our hospitals are so full, people with emergency situations are unable to get the care they need. Dr Yanoshak followed through with everything he said he would do!
I had an appointment to see him for a urinary tract infection and when I went in, the physician assistant wanted to shove her finger up my back side to check my prostate. I wasn't there for my prostate and told her so and refused to let her do it. She then wanted to shove a scope up my front end to "see why I couldn't urinate". I told her no because I was having no problem urinating. She didn't like me refusing to let her do those things, so ended the appointment and I never did get to see the doctor. The office then turned ... read more
Dr. Yanoshak was excellent. He took his time reviewing my concerns, was very professional, and I had no complications following surgery. The PAs also provided excellent care.
Dr. Yanoshak is a very thorough Dr. He CARES about his patients and communicates every step of the way with you.
Dr. Yanoshak seemed reassuring that he would help me until after my cystoscopy. After I came out of anesthesia he told me he didn't find any problems but didn't offer any other advice and wouldn't answer my questions. He was in the room no more than five minutes and any time I tried to ask him a question he stopped me. He told me to stop interrupting him because he had other patients waiting. I'll be switching to a urologist who will explain things to me without being rude.
