I took my daughter age 10 to see Dr Tocci for his opinion on her ankle fracture, Osteochondritis Dissecans and salter harris grade 3 fracture from high level gymnastics . I was worried because we have not had a good experience so far with ortho care in CA where we had great care in CO. We saw a doctor a week ago who was supposed to be an ankle specialist and after charging us almost $400 he just literally gave us a card to see someone else. I came in with a sports ankle injury and told the doctor my goal was to get back to sport. He didn’t listen or seem to care about that. He only offered one option: surgery. He said if I didn’t do surgery, I’d have to live with pain and be out of sports for a long time. I got second opinions from two other orthopedic doctors. They were more professional, recommended physical therapy and a conservative plan, and explained that some MRI findings can be false positives. The level of care by Dr Tocci and his staff for my son's unexpected injury and surgery has been absolutely the best. They have been super attentive and responsive.
