Dr. Shoemaker ordered a nuclear stress test for me while in the hospital so I asked him how much radiation do you get from that test. I explained my concern because I have thyroid nodules and I did not want my thyroid exposed. Dr. Shoemaker bluntly and quickly answered “It’s innocuous.” as if there were no radiation worries at all. His scheduler was not nice. Treated me as though I was a terrible person for missing an appt they gave me 6 months ago. I never got a reminder even though she claimed I did. Try being a little more understanding
Dr Shoemaker is the best. A longtime cardiac patient from the DC area, I have been treated by many cardiologists, none superior to Dr Shoemaker. Venice, and I, are lucky to have him here.
I saw Dr Shoemaker in the hospital and his physician ‘s assistant Noshaba Khaliq. She was Phenomenal! One of the most caring and compassionate medical professionals. I was extremely anxious and told her right away. She immediately said “ put your mind at ease everything looks good “. I was then able to calm down and get all her questions answered.
