I highly recommend Dr. Akbari for any breast issue. When I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, she thoroughly put my husband and me at ease with her explanation of my case, drawings and all and gave me the plan as I left. My follow-up care has been excellent also. She has been my one constant through the process. I am very glad I choose her for my breast surgeon.

Really appreciated Dr Akbari's expertise and reassurance! My radiologist recommended surgical consultation post-biopsy, and Dr Akbari was excellent in explaining the clinical rationale behind the recommendation, the options available going forward, and the considerations that could favor one option over the other. My office visit was relatively brief, but my gut feeling was that she is a very good doctor and I would definitely go back to her should the need arise. Highly recommend.

Awful experience. Came into consult w riding boots and jodhpurs in a huge hurry to examine and then draw on a pad where she would cut and cut... She did not listen to history or my concerns. Just wanted me to schedule surgery right away...You can tell she likes to perform surgery as she wanted to do way more than I needed or wanted! Did not go back and grabbed my records on the way out! Her bedside manner is hugely lacking.

Dr Akbari is the best. She treated my breast cancer expert and with compassion and care.
I would highly recommend Dr. Akbari for breast cancer surgery. I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma. During my initial visit, she was thorough in explaining my diagnosis. She wrote down my treatment plan, including options, and gave the plan to me. I had a double mastectomy, which was successful. My recovery was quick and as planned. The Nurse Navigator, Claudia, was excellent. She coordinated everything for me, including appointments with my reconstruction surgeon and the surgery.
