Had the stem cell transfer procedure at Southeast Orthopedic performed by Dr. Stephen Esser with PRP treatment. They don’t tell you in advance that the local anesthesia you’ll receive has zero effect on numbing the pain you’ll feel when they drill into your hip bone to harvest the bone marrow for the stem cells. This is something that is done under general anesthesia in other practices. You end up enduring excruciating pain during the process. For me the entire treatment protocol had zero effect on my knees.
