We have brought our pets to this clinic for 20 years and now have a four hour drive to get there but it is the very best. Excellent. Updated skills, personable to pet parents and always compassionate and caring
Our family has been going to them since 1977. Dr. Shaw & her team are the absolute best. After moving from Portland, I drive the 2 hrs from the beach to still take my fur pups to them for all of their needs. Them. They do treat you like family.
Just had an appointment with Dr. Jen and she was so helpful! Our normal doctor, Dr. Wilson, was out and it was an emergency. So glad there is another doctor to see that is as knowledgable, friendly and helpful as Dr. Wilson is. My Jade doesn't like just anyone, but she didn't even hesitate to warm up to Dr. Jen! Thank you!
The caring staff at Southgate Animal Clinic are simply the best.

I have taken my pets here for over 10 years. I have never had a bad experience just the opposite. This clinic is AMAZING. They have been there for us through thick and thin, held my hand and watched me cry without judgement as my baby crossed the Rainbow Bridge, helped us find our next baby and always been so nice when I asked those stupid questions. I never feel rushed or not listened to. This business has customer support and care down pat. Will never take an animal any where else. They are AMAZING!
We love Southgate Animal Clinic. Our lab lived to be a healthy 14 year old lab because of Dr Shaw. We have a new puppy that we take to Southgate now and could not be happier . There compassionate,knowledgable and answer all questions we have had. We have recommended friends and family to Southgate. Five stars
Dr. Shaw is one of the top two veterinarians we have had the good fortune and pleasure to have care for our animals—and we've worked with dozens over the years in multiple states. She's compassionate, honest, fair, reasonable, informed and very, very smart. We drive 40 minutes one way from our home just to take our dogs to see her.
I simply cannot imagine taking our babies anywhere else. We started with Dr. Powell almost 20 years ago and have had nothing but the best care, advice, wisdom and compassion. During those unfortunate situations when there's stress and fear, they do everything they can to comfort your animal - and you. When when I had to say goodbye and help one my babies to the Bridge, they provided extreme comfort and as much time as I neededto be ready. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.
