We've been bringing our pets to this clinic for about 20 years now. The staff has always been very professional, courteous and flexible. Dr Stemper has been our primary veterinarian the entire time. She is always kind, honest, competent and empathetic to our pet's issues. Dr Stemper and the staff have also compassionately helped us through those final moments of goodbye with our pets. The compassion is what keeps us coming back to this clinic.

These folks are the best. I would never take my pets anywhere else. They truly care and never try to squeeze you for extra money because they know you love your pets. I have felt like other vets have taken advantage of me and performed unnecessary tests just to take my money. Not so with Southgate. And the biscuit jar is always full. Bubba and Farley love you all.
We started with Dr Barry Powell years ago & kept our many Furkids with Dr Kristan Shaw after she became the owner in 2007. Excellent care by any of the associates that have helped our pets through the years. Lots of loving care & some tears through the years with all of the staff. Now we are starting over with a new furbaby! Paws up to Dr Shaw, Dr Ricker, Dr Stemper & Dr Wilson!
I love this clinic. Everyone of the doctors are attentive and kind. Very thorough in the treatments if your furry friends. The techs are amazing and truly care for each pet that comes through the doors. Thank you, Southgate, for loving and taking such great care of Honey this week!
We have been bringing our Lab. ,Piper, here since he was 8 weeks old. They know him and he knows them. Great service, a little spendy, but when it comes to your 4 legged kids, what is a couple more bucks?
My 1st visit to this clinic was on an emergency basis and Dr.Hope & her staff couldn't have been more compassionate and caring. Not only did my cat receive outstanding care but Dr. Hope is an amazing person who also showed me extraordinary kindness above and beyond anything I expected. I am do grateful to Dr.Hope and her outstanding team who worked so hard for us. My god daisy feels SOOOO much better ever since her skin healed up and her hair grew back on her from the help we received at southgate. Thank you doctor shaw! You rule! Southgate animal clinic has always been the place to take our furry family for whatever it is, for the past 11 years for me and my mom, but before that for my late stepfather. And it won't be the last place either. Shaw and edan are our faves there. Plus everyone in back there loves our shepherds. And daisy of course. She's beautiful! Lolz
