On the advise of our vet, we brought our colicky Mustang IKE to them for Abdominal Xray to check for sand. He had A LOT! They treated him with IV fluids and tubed him 3 times a day, pumping oil & psyllium into him and 5 days later we picked him up SAND FREE! They posted his story & Xrays on their page. We are forever grateful!
The doctors at Steinbeck were absolutely fantastic throughout a very serious colic surgery for my 25-year-old Arabian, Bayamo! They were so professional, responsive and caring, from the time we arrived in the trailer through the five-hour surgery, the ICU, and the after-care to three weeks later when I took him home. Not only did their expertise save my boy, they treated him like he was very special throughout his stay. I will be forever grateful to this amazing team!
I am very disappointed with my experience here. I called in for a quote for a horse to be sutured which I was told was going to be $115. The bill turned out to be $654. I felt that was a little far off the quote I was given. I have called multiple times and have yet to speak with a manager, and have yet to hear back from anyone. The stitches did not hold and the skin has died. I have received very poor customer service and I am very disappointed. I just want them to make things right.
My Mare was very ill and required a week's stay in isolation at Steinbeck. I was very impressed at the integrity of the care especially in making certain that no other animals were at risk for catching anything from my horse. Every caregiver that I encountered was top quality and open to answering any questions that I had and of course I had many. We brought our 14 yr old miniature schnauzer in to see Dr Watanabe. She was so gentle with him. She explained what was happening with him and offered us several options of care. We were thankful that we left paying a very reasonable bill.
This is without a doubt the finest equine facility on the west coast. Between State of the Art equipment and the incredible skills and dedication of the Eastman's and their entire team there is no comparison. We would highly recommend this team for any equine treatment or care. We have brought them some pretty hopeless cases - always treated with care and positive outcome!
