The Steaming Tender is a Railroad-themed restaurant inside a former New Haven Railroad passenger train station. The waitresses are dressed in engineers pin-striped overalls. Their birthday song is to the tune of “I’ve Been Working On the Railroad.” The food is just fantastic!! We always visit this on the Saturday evening after the Springfield Train Show. There’s active railroad lines on both sides of this restaurant! Bring your camera! Well worth the wait!!

Always love coming here. A bit of a wait on a friday night but then again if a place isn't busy at 6pm on friday do you really want to eat there. The food is always good, service is friendly and fast and the atmosphere is like no other bringing history and charm to an unexpected place. A must see. You wont be disappointed. 👍
