RecommendedMy family went today for our first lunch out since March 13. They did such a fantastic job!!! From outside decor, to protective safety measures, fantastic cocktails and amazing food. We were very impressed and will return for sure!!! The lobster roll was HUGE and worth every $$. Order it!

I have to admit I was a little anxious to go out to eat with this whole COVID-19 thing. We arrived at the steaming tender and we’re promptly greeted and offered a few different tables we even were offered the table on the back of the train which of course we chose! Emily who was our server was very attentive. I’ve never felt more safe and secure about eating in the restaurant. We try to support local restaurants every Saturday night by ordering out! You’ve always been “hit or miss” but tonight really takes the cake: 1. Who serves a fried fisherman’s platter with ZERO tarter sauce. No sauce = dry as the Sahara Desert 2. The “Baked Fisherman’s Platter” should be labeled as an appetizer and NOT an entree 3. VERY little fries with the “Marian” sandwich 4. Coleslaw (extremely low food cost) didn’t even fill up the container (literally a two bite option) If I owned the place, I’d be quite embarrassed
The wait staff was very attentive to COVID precautions, food was delicious, outdoor setting was lovely, and it was great to be out!
I was only given 4 ribs on an order of a half rack. Very disappointing for the price point
Always great food and atmosphere!
Steaming Tender is one of our few go-to restaurants. The food is always good, and the service has never been anything other than great. The atmosphere is great and they have lovingly restored the old Palmer train station. If you want good food and great drinks in a unique atmosphere, this is where you need to go.
