I received a bill to resolve a medical bill. I do not dispute owing a medical bill. However.... Statement from the company says I owe 144 and change by march 5th. Today is march 1st. When I went to log in to pay, the amount due is 244 and change. There is zero break down of what all this is for. and the acct number supplied does not match ANY of the medical bills I have. I will not be paying through this company. I will pay the bill directly only. If this company wishes to collect for others, they should supply details about... read more
WHOEVER this "business" is, they have shown up on my credit report AFTER trying to fraudulently take money out of my checking account! Luckily the bank sensed the fraud and alerted me. This being on my credit report has GREATLY AFFECTED my score!
Texted my wife's cell number with a link. She's not stupid, didn't click it, blocked the number and deleted the text. We don't owe anyone a dime except the mortgage. I have a screenshot of the text so I will open a FCRA complaint, and send them a cease and desist via certified and 1st class mail.
Scammers based in Wisconsin. Women with Wisconsin accents - definitely in the US. Sent me multiple text messages with attachments trying to impersonate a state agency to get you to click on the document which will download malware or spyware. Multiple phone calls where they demand personal information. I asked them basic information about the company to determine whether they are real. They won't give any info out, but demand personal details. Then hang up. They are spamming and scamming and try to sound like a state agency,... read more
I received a text notice from "State Collection Services" that required I either text back STOP to opt out of receiving additional text message or I authorize them in order to find out what collection information they supposedly had on me.
I had an outstanding debt that landed in their office. The debt was at least 4 years old. I had forgotten about it until Credit Karma popped up and said it was a thing. I called in, spoke with a very professional person who took my payment without hassle. The reason for the 2 star review is their receipt policy. I was told that it could be mailed to me which would take a week or so or they could text me a secure file within 48 hours. Its not been 48 hours yet, but this practice seems weird. I didn't even get a confirmation n... read more
This State Collection co calls 4 to 5 times a day. I would never dream they can get away with this. Im getting a lawyer.
Why does this outfit use spam numbers to contact you? Everything said sounded like a spammer trying to get money from me.
Fraudulent request. Mid-2020 and State Collection Service send me a letter demanding $200 within 30 days for a debt that doesn't exist, from Stanford Hospital. I used Stanford as my service provide, but have not used any of their services since mid-2017. At that time, all accounting was up-to-date with nothing owed, and nothing has changed.
State Collection Service has a 4 star rating with 458 reviews.
State Collection Service is closed now. It will open tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.
