They leave you on hold for an hour just to talk to someone. They have a software program that is poor at best, when it's working. Time to clean house.

Interacting with government entities usually bring little pleasure to one's life. But this one takes the cake. I understand that they have a lot of applications to process, but it takes many months which is unacceptable. The amount of things lost is also ridiculous. They will not even let you know if something was received that was mailed 2 months prior. How is anyone to know if it was lost in the mail or not? By far the worst medical board I have worked with. They never answered their phones. Their email responses didn't answer my questions. They lost multiple documents required for the application. They took at least two weeks between each subsequent review of my application when I know they received the required documents well before that. It took 3 months for them to initially review my application and 6 months for my license to be approved. Painful experience.

They are completely discriminatory against practicing subspecialists that have no access to AOA CME. This requirement is outdated and completely unnecessary in this day and age.
