What's not to like about Starr Hair Studio? – I've been going for over 25 years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Bobby is the best! The staff is friendly, it's like visiting family. I often get asked who cuts my hair. And I'm always happy to let them know that it's Bobby at Starr. If you're looking for a hair studio....Starr is the place for you.
Great place for cut and color plus more – Starr Hair Studio is conveniently located in downtown Boston on Newbury St. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere welcoming and they do a great job. I always get compliments on my hair cut and color. I recommend Starr to my friends - because I think they are such a great value.
Great Hair Cuts in Great Spot – A friend recommended Kim to me - one visit and I knew why. Kim is patient (she helped me decide on color for almost an HOUR before she started mixing), an excellent stylist and colorist (love the cut, the exact color I wanted), and down-to-earth (no Newbury attitude here). I will definitely be making the trek to Newbury to see her again.
Excellent hair cut and coloring! – It takes me one and a half hours to get to Starr but it has been worth it for more than 25 years. Doug is a superb stylist and I always get complements on my cut and coloring. Lily and Bobby are terrific also - I see the excellent results of their artistry on other satisfied people. A Star among Salons in Boston! – My husband says that I look 15 years younger with my new hair cut and lighter color by Diane! My colleagues at work agree! Thank you Diane!!! My children gave me a gift certificate to Starr Hair Studio for a birthday some years ago. I have been going back every month since. Starr Hair Studio is a very well run hair salon with excellent operators. Highly recommended!!!

Number 1 hair salon, great atmosphere – Starr Hair Salon is the cream of the crop. When it comes to my hair I only travel first class . Bobby at Starr makes that possible. Best hair style studio – I have been going to Starr since Doug and Bobby (and Lily) opened the doors, and Doug has been doing my hair for 30 years. I live outside of the city, but getting my hair done at Starr is well worth the ride. I get compliments on the cut from strangers! Saturdays are a fun time, with lots of kidding around by the team who always do a great job (judging by the smiles on the clients as they leave). I highly recommend checking it out!
