They operate out of 4 rooms; there's a wait for sure. Wound Care centers only see chronic wounds, so wounds that are still open greater than 90 days (by definition) or no changes within 2 weeks (2020). Otherwise, all wound are centers do just about the same thing. So there is nothing considered "urgent". If it's urgent, you'll be redirected to emergency room/urgent care as ambulatory clinics are unable to treat anything medically urgent.
its feb 17 today. i was told today the next soonest they can see me as a new patient with an active painful wound is may 2. enough said?? very questionable availability at such a large medical facility… this would just increase ER visits. is that what they want maybe? cringe
I had a serious infection, and was discharged from Stanford hospital after 3 days of IV antibiotics with an urgent referral to the Stanford Advanced Wound Care Center. Despite the 'urgent' referral (which they took 4 days to even review and process), the earliest appointment they had was more than 7 weeks away. Completely negligent for a medical facility. Stanford should be ashamed in this dereliction of duty for urgent wound care.

It’s extremely hard to get an appointment here, but once you get in the staff and doctors are very professional and know what they’re doing. I worked with dr. Sen and he was very knowledgeable and felt very calming to know that I was under supervision of one of the greatest in the field.
