everyone here acts like they hate their job, like it is a chore to be kind to people. Not a single person here looks like they actually care about the patients. I was sent here from a free standing ER. the dr that sent me here spoke with the ER dr before I came to ensure my care. Worst ER to ever go to. I have seizures and all they do is check for fake seizures every time when I specifically tell them I have a diagnosis. I dislike all the nurses that work at UAB ER because none of them are qualified to help a patient with convulsive seizures or absent. I had a nurse stick a whole Covid test qtip up my nose while having a convulsive seizure. I’ve also had one nurse push in my chest so hard I was bruised for a week and sore. My worst ER experience ever. I came in at a pain level 10 in my right side and was in the waiting room 2 hours. I also had to ring the bell because I couldn’t stand up after I used the bathroom. Still left me out there even though they weren’t busy. So I get back to the room finally and the nurse Ashley was awesome .
